‘Jobs and Growth’ in Action: The Kanoo Group participates in Abu Dhabi University’s 2nd Annual Career Fair

Abu Dhabi University’s 2nd Annual Career FairDubai: November 01, 2010 - Recognizing the need to reinforce its human capital growth and bridging the unemployment gap in the jobs market all over UAE, The Kanoo Group, a UAE-based diversified business conglomerate participates on a 2-day Job Fair at Abu Dhabi University located in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, and running from 2 to 3 November 2010, as the silver sponsor.

The Kanoo Group’s delegates from HR Department team headed by Mariam Al Busaidy, HR and Administration Manager – Northern Emirates (NE) & Oman and Amando Pimentel, HR Officer, will conduct on the spot interviews at the Job Fair which will be an effective platform for aspiring candidates to meet, be selected and be hired to fit as staff for its ever-growing workforce in the UAE and regionally as well. The specialized team will review all applications and update the aspirants with possible employment opportunities within the company after the fair.

According to Mena job index survey, the Middle East job market has seen a relatively slow but steady improvement in 2010 - hiring has broadly picked up across all industries and hopes are high for the upcoming quarter – with 54 per cent of Middle East employers stating they are planning to recruit. Industries perceived to be attracting and maintaining top talent in the region today (as per the same study) are: banking and finance (36 per cent of votes), telecommunications (35 per cent) and construction (31 per cent).
