The Kanoo Group in collaboration with its partners AXA Gulf and Johnson Arabia led a charity event, the "Partners Golf Day" in a bid to support Dubai Autism Center (DAC), a non-profit UAE organization serving children with autism spectrum disorders. The event was held recently at Arabian Golf Club, Dubai.

Mr. Bob Curtis, CEO of The Kanoo Group (UAE & Oman) awarded the cheque donation to Mr. Farhan Shahid, Events and Project Manager of Dubai Autism Center, at The Kanoo Group headquarters in Bur Dubai. The amount will contribute to the new building fund of DAC. This expansion program will help accommodate 270 students on waiting list to join its existing 54 students.

Notable guests of The Kanoo Group took part in the charity event spearheaded by Mr. Bob Curtis from joint ventures and affiliate companies WolffKran Arabia LLC, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa German Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Delta Airlines, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Emerson, IBM, BASF, Tiger Engineering, Crane Industrial Services and AkzoNobel.

Senior Leaders Mr. Fahad Kanoo (Executive Director), Mr. Sunil D'souza (Regional Travel Director, Kanoo Travel), Mr. Cruz Ignatius (Business Partnerships Manager) and Mr. Ali Islim (Marketing Manager) attended the event from the management side of The Kanoo Group.

Despite the gloomy weather conditions, 60 players energetically and willingly participated in the game competition from all participating companies. Awards and trophies were sponsored by Arabian Sports Club. It was a successful whole-day golf round-up. During the dusk, a gala dinner was held subsequently as the main highlight of the gathering. Mr. Cruz Ignatius hosted the short program and awarding ceremony for the Golf winners.

The Partners Golf Day was a networking opportunity for attendees to meet and greet long standing partners in the industry at the same time to gather round donations for a charitable cause.

Generous cash donations from individuals and groups drew a total amount of AED 27,925/- — AED 2,350/- from general participants, AED 3,000/- from Target Engineering, AED 2,500/- from WolffKran Arabia LLC, AED 2,075/- from AkzoNobel, AED 8,000/- from Ms. Adele Jane Clarke and AED 10,000 from Mr. Bob Curtis and Turkish Airways.
